What does support after handover actually cover?
July 24, 2026 1 min read
Ninety days of free bug fixing on everything we built, from the day it goes live. A bug is the system not doing what the scope said. A change is the scope being different now, and that is quoted.
The line between a bug and a change
It is written down before the project starts, in the scope, which is the reason the scope exists. "The invoice total is wrong" is a bug. "The invoice should now show tax per line" is a change.
Nobody enjoys this conversation, which is exactly why it should happen at scope time and not at handover.
What we do inside the window
Fix it, deploy it, and tell you what it was. No ticket count, no hourly deduction, no argument about whether it was worth reporting.
After ninety days
Either a retainer or ad-hoc work at a quoted price. There is no cliff — we do not stop answering the phone on day ninety-one — but the free window is the free window.
